He served his country in the United States Air Force and was a Korean War Veteran.. They decided to fly a flag at his grave site but had to bear in mind American Flag etiquette which states a United State flag cannot be flown at night without a proper light source. They envisioned an automated product providing all-in-one functionality but since no such product existed they employed American ingenuity and designed their own.
