The College recognizes Texas lawyers who attend at least double the Continuing Legal Education (CLE) required by the State Bar of Texas, amongst other requirements and distinctions they have been recognized as achieving in their legal practice area.
The purpose of the College shall be as follows: 1) to recognize and encourage lawyers who maintain and enhance their professional skills and the quality of their service to the public by significant voluntary participation in legal education; 2) to promote among members of the State Bar and the general public the educational and public purposes of the College and its members; 3) to recognize and encourage outstanding service to the legal profession and the public; and, 4) to sponsor or otherwise assist in educational activities of significant merit and widespread relevance and applicability to the legal profession.
Carl David Ceder, Attorney at Law, was also nominated as a 2014 Texas Rising Star Attorney in the field of “Criminal Defense” by the Texas Monthly Magazine, an achievement that is only given and awarded to 2.5% of all attorneys. Those who are bestowed with this distinction go through a rigorous selection process. All attorneys first go through the Super Lawyers Rising Star selection process, provided they are first eligible to do so. They first have to be nominated by a high-ranking Super Lawyer peer, then it is based on previous and past work and success, peer review from colleagues, and achievement in the courtroom based on ethical standards, high accolades bestowed upon through hard work and excellence, and relentless determination to constantly achieve and strive to always commit to accomplish as much as possible within their chosen career field. Super Lawyers, a Thomas Reuters business, is a rating service of outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. The annual selection process is made using a patented multiphase process that includes a statewide survey of lawyers, an independent research evaluation of candidates and peer reviews by each practice area. The result is always credible, comprehensive, and diverse in listing those exceptionally bright attorneys.
The Super Lawyer and Rising Star Lists are published nationwide in Super Lawyer Magazines and in leading city and regional magazines and newspapers across the country. The Texas Monthly Super Lawyer Magazine always features editorial profiles of attorneys who embody excellence in their area of the practice of law.
Carl David Ceder, Attorney at Law, has also been chosen as the highest level of rating as a “Superb” Lawyer through the website AVVO.com, with a perfect 10.0/10.00 AVVO rating, for the fourth year in a row. Carl Ceder has devoted literally thousands of hours in various Continuing Legal Education Courses (CLE's), and at various training and educational seminars to be as trained as possible for any case for an individual he represents in court.
