Monument, CO -- (SBWIRE) -- 02/07/2014 -- Today The Desert Farm Project announced its plans to build what it refers to as “Micro-Climate Greenhouses” (MCGs), each designed to be a mirror image of a harsh environment around the world. The purpose…to eradicate hunger.

“With our MCGs, we can treat hunger like a disease, testing new agricultural techniques in a laboratory environment before we integrate the techniques into the actual regions around the world. This gives us a higher probability of growth and harvest success. It also gives us the ability to test new methods and utilize what we call Agrimicry™ for high levels of growth success.” said a spokesmen at The Desert Farm Project. The company believes that by creating better agricultural techniques, smarter seeds, and better food and seed storage, people in any environment will have the tools they need to harvest their way out of the hunger cycle.

Multiple Positive Impacts

Once the Desert Farm Project has created viable agricultural recipes in the Micro-Climate Greenhouse Labs, they plan to take their recipes to the region they are trying to impact, and create actual self-renewing farms that will feed entire communities, and most importantly, will self-renew the following growth season.

“Obviously, we have a 5 year plan of using education programs to teach people how to maintain the new farms. We also will use the scientific method that will continuously monitor our results in each area giving us the data we need to make changes where necessary.” said the spokesmen. “And as a secondary positive impact, we will ultimately be working to green areas that were previously not green, thus creating a positive ‘carbon reducing’ impact on the global environment.”
