Disability Awareness Can Get People Jobs

St. Petersburg, FL -- (SBWIRE) -- 09/17/2014 -- The secret is out about a not so well-known federal program from the Social Security Administration called the Ticket to Work. It’s a program that helps Social Security recipients, who receive Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) and/or Supplemental Security Income (SSI) benefits, receive free employment counseling in finding a suitable job. Once placed, job candidates can also maintain Medicare or Medicaid coverage and access to some Social Security cash benefits. There is absolutely no penalty for trying to go back to work!

Since 1945, October has been the ‘National Disability Employment Awareness Month’ and now, there are thousands of jobs available for qualified beneficiaries. Through free job placement assistance, candidates can get back to work easily when they use one of the Social Security Certified Employment Networks.

One employment network President, Paula Vieillet of Employment Options, explains, “There are so many job scams out there, particularly for Work At Home positions specifically marketed to people with disabilities. A legitimate Employment Network can help a person on SSDI/SSI avoid those scams and find a great job at home or on-site, often with paid training and benefits.”

Typical work from home job openings involve inbound customer service positions requiring order taking, providing information about products and services, making reservations, providing tech or gaming support, medical case management, and much more. This year, Employment Options is hosting a free online, virtual job fair on October 8th. Job-seekers nationwide are invited to register for this free online event. http://myemploymentoptions.com/register-for-virtual-job-fair/
