What We Weren't Taught About the Bible and Its History: New "Bible Digest" Explains Scripture from Original Hebrew Perspective

Diligently researched and transposed by Rabbi Roger Fearing, ‘What We Weren't Taught About the Bible and Its History’ is the first book to condense Scripture in chronological order and explain each passage from a Hebrew cultural perspective. The book is poised to become a faith-saving resource for the millions of Christians who struggle to understand the Bible from a modern Western cultural viewpoint, and are looking to embrace the “Hebrew Roots” movement currently sweeping the planet.

Sandusky, OH -- (SBWIRE) -- 09/16/2014 -- There’s no way to sugarcoat it; millions of Believers struggle to understand the Bible due to its random ordering and presentation of the Holy Scriptures from a Hebrew cultural perspective. This ‘disconnect’ is so much of an epidemic that Christianity is losing millions of followers each year who become frustrated and ultimately give up. In a true world’s first, an Ohioan Rabbi has condensed pertinent Scripture into not only a logical order, but with explanations so that their Hebrew perspective makes powerful sense and turns the book into the life-changing text it was intended to be.

‘What We Weren't Taught About the Bible and Its History’, by Rabbi Roger Fearing, is written in laypeople’s terms to positively affect anyone’s relationship with their faith.

Synopsis:

Have you ever picked up the Bible with every good intention of studying it, but gave up because it didn't make sense? I have compiled a bible digest that explains from a Hebrew perspective each book of the Bible in a chronological sequence to better help you grasp its meaning.

“This book is vitally important because today's approach to understanding the Bible is from a Roman/Greco mindset. Both the Old and New Testaments were originally written from a Hebrew perspective and culture. Unless the reader can reassess their approach of trying to understand it from the Hebrew language and cultural view, they will not be able to completely grasp its spiritual effect,” explains Rabbi Fearing. “There’s also the double-negative of having to struggle with Scripture that is somewhat disjointed and laid out in a random order. All I am doing is laying it out chronologically, condensing it to become way more succinct and then explaining the Hebrew cultural context. It’s not re-writing our Holy book, but simply presenting it in a much more sensible and relevant way.”

Continuing, “Making things simpler is my over-riding goal, as we need to find a way to keep new Believers active. Too many get frustrated and see the Bible as bewilderment, rather than life-changing.”

Rabbi Fearing is also delighted to be making a valuable contribution to the “Hebrew Roots” movement that is rapidly picking up pace.

“It’s an intricate movement with some very defined ideas, but one that is having more and more influence over Christians. This is a good thing in my eyes, and my book will introduce the wider Christian community to this alternative set of “rules” and beliefs. Our religion is currently seeing a period of profound change, and it all starts with really understanding what the Bible is trying to say,” he adds.
