Winter Storm Keeps Atlantic Sweeping & Cleaning, Inc. Busy

When winter storms hit the Virginia, Maryland, and Washington D.C. areas, Atlantic Sweeping & Cleaning was kept busy, and are prepared for a transition into the spring season.

Alexandria, VA -- (SBWIRE) -- 04/03/2014 -- With big snow storm in the mid-east, the New Year has provided plenty of work for Atlantic Sweeping & Cleaning Inc. The flurry of activity has kept Atlantic Sweeping & Cleaning busy as they get closer to their spring season transition.

With a well-equipped fleet of snow plow trucks, machinery, and other equipment, Atlantic Sweeping & Cleaning was ready to be dispatched well before storms arrived, and continues to work hard. Their experienced snow division performs a number of services, including snow plowing, shoveling, de-icing, pre-salting, snow stacking, snow hauling, and storm management services. And with its very own backup equipment, Atlantic Sweeping & Cleaning never runs the risk of getting behind the winter weather.

“We’ve been well-prepared, and we might be busy, but we will continue operations until we get this done,” says Giovanni Recalde, President of Atlantic Sweeping & Cleaning, Inc.

Despite all of the nasty weather that Northern Virginia has endured, Atlantic Sweeping & Cleaning won’t be calling an end to their winter services prematurely; nonetheless, they are already prepping for a busy spring season, especially with all of the winter clean-up to do.

“A lot of people aren’t aware of the damage done to asphalt, cement, paint, etc. when salt, sand, and ice melt chemicals are used and often left on the roads,” says Recalde. “We highly, highly recommend pressure washing and garage sweeping and scrubbing as soon as is possible. Yes, even garages – tires and footprints can track that stuff inside.”

Consequently, Atlantic Sweeping & Cleaning knows that pressure washing and scrubbing services will also become a heavily used service in the coming weeks, with clients and customers wanting to remove leftover salt, sand, and other ice melt chemicals, along with unwanted dirt and debris. Recalde recommends this for all businesses that have parking lots, parking garages, and more. “Sure, the salt or sand will help clear the roads faster, but their effects can be devastating, such as potholes, cracking, and such. It can be more expensive to repave than to sweep or wash away, but it has to be done now, not later.”

Atlantic Sweeping & Cleaning suspects they will continue to stay busy this late-winter and spring with continued snow plowing and snow clean-up efforts. For more information on Atlantic Sweeping and Cleaning, please visit: AtlanticSweepingInc.com.
