ZappySys SSIS PowerPack v2.9
The latest version of the PowerPack (v2.9) was released in February, 2019. In this release, the main focus was on providing high quality and fast Upsert Destination (Bul Update, Insert and Delete/Merge) for SQL Server. We also added Salesforce BULK API support for Salesforce Destination.
SSIS Upsert Destination
The v2.9 release of the PowerPack included a very useful component for Upsert operation (only in SQL Server Database for now). This component can perform high performance Bulk Upsert (Insert + Update) in a single operation by using key based lookup. You can also do Bulk Update and Bulk Delete.
Salesforce BULK Update
Another feature that was highly requested in Salesforce was to use BULK API for very large datasets. Salesforce Destination uses SOAP API by default for Insert operation. This works good for the most part. However, we encounter some issues when our dataset is very large. When your dataset contains millions of rows, the SOAP API will not have good performance. Therefore, the BULK API mode was added. For that, we added two new properties: EnableBulApiMode and MaxRowsPerJob. When EnableBulkApiMode is enabled, BatchSize is ignored.
Other new features added in the v2.9 are UI validation of connection selection in Amazon S3 CSV File Source, FTP and Azure, validation for no input columns selected in CSV destination for Azure, AWS and FTP etc.
