International B2B Technology Company Targets American and Canadian Growth in Advanced Planning and Scheduling (APS) and Supply Chain Planning (SCP)

Philadelphia, PA, October 18, 2010 — Quintiq, a global leader delivering APS and SCP business software solutions, announced today its plan to operate dual headquarters in order to support the growth of its North American business. Currently, the Netherlands office serves as Quintiq’s worldwide headquarters; it will become the company’s European-based headquarters. The company’s current Philadelphia, Pa. regional office will become its North American-based headquarters.

The increasing importance of the North American market and recent large contract wins supports the decision to open a second headquarters in the U.S. As part of this strategic move, Quintiq CEO and co-founder Dr. Victor Allis will relocate to the U.S. and continue to lead the company’s non-European portfolio from the Philadelphia, Pa. location. The COO Arjen Heeres will remain in Quintiq’s European headquarters.

Earning recent industry analyst recognition, Quintiq was named a Visionary in Gartner’s 2010 Magic Quadrant for SCP for Process Automation. “Advanced Planning and Scheduling and Supply Chain Planning are significant areas of opportunity for U.S. and Canadian companies,” said Allis. “An increasing demand in the North American market accentuated by Quintiq’s record-breaking sales in Q1 and Q2 of 2010 positions us for opportunity. We plan to grow our North American business to the size of our European business within the next three years.”

According to experts, much of today’s production, transportation, and energy infrastructure supporting North America is outdated. Too many ports, shipping lanes, and roadways are subscale. Production facilities are obsolete, inflexible and offer limited amounts of alternative energy.

Quintiq is one of the fastest growing APS companies in the world and focuses on industries including metals and manufacturing, logistics and workforce optimization. Servicing 74 countries with nine regional offices worldwide, Quintiq is positioned to help companies across the world lower costs, improve customer experience and optimize workforce scheduling.

“The struggling economy is causing a rapid shift to an era of companies looking to improve efficiencies, reduce costs and maximize productivity. There is an increasing demand for technology partners like Quintiq in North America and we are here to win the market share like we did in Europe,” said Allis.
