Bakersfield, CA, May 20, 2010 — Selling real estate may seem to be the perfect way to make a little extra cash, but in her new book, So You Think You Want to Sell Real Estate, author and real estate broker-associate Michelle Overstreet makes sure people know exactly what they’re getting into.

“I’ve read plenty of how-to books. I want people to understand the truth about getting started in real estate and what it takes to be successful,” Overstreet says.

Overstreet didn’t see a commission check until after six months of working for a real estate broker. At one point, her husband told her he’d had more savings as a single man than they had since she started selling real estate.
