Research in Motion may still have some life left in them after all.
Yesterday we were discussing the possibility of Samsung doing a deal with RIM, either as an acquisition or just as a partner using the BB10 operating system.
Now today we are kicking around the idea of IBM acquiring RIM with their Blackberry business altogether.
Not bad for a company who seems to be struggling for air.
RIM is still a good company with good technology and good brand name. They just haven’t figured out how to update the operating system and Internet browser, attract App makers and them advertise and market like crazy.
Remember in the next few months Apple will introduce their next iPhone and Google Android keeps rolling out with a variety of makers.
The world is moving ahead very quickly.
So if that is the case perhaps working with another company can help them over the hump. After all they can’t seem to make it on their own.
We’ll have to wait and see what happens next. We may even hear from other companies interested in doing a deal.
This could start to get interesting.
