New Thriller Mixes Mystery with Supernatural Elements

El Paso, TX, June 2, 2010 — In her new work of fiction, “Within” (published by AuthorHouse), Marty Cedillos takes an old family fable and brings it to life with supernatural twists and thrilling revelations.

When Aimee Gable’s parents – both history professors – are murdered during her senior trip to Europe, the tragedy changes her career plans. She becomes a forensic anthropologist for the FBI and is stationed in Portland, Ore. When a body surfaces in her hometown, she revisits the circumstances of her parents’ unsolved murder.

Aimee soon joins a team of four agents that have been following similar deaths and is paired up with agent Andrew Jackson. While researching the files of the other murders, Aimee learns of evidence previously withheld from the original report of her parents’ murder.

When she and Andrew look further into the events surrounding the death of her family, paranormal activity begins to occur – things that Aimee and Andrew cannot explain. The two agents undergo a supernatural transformation and come face-to-face with their murderer. However, their powerful foe is always a step ahead.

Aimee finds herself forced to choose between crossing over to the “bad side” in return for her parent’s resurrection, or staying with her partner – with whom she has fallen in love – and finishing her job.

With the pacing of a crime drama, “Within” will appeal to readers who like their suspense with twists and turns.

Marty Cedillos currently resides in her hometown of El Paso, Texas. She studied nursing and accounting before focusing her attention on caring for her family. “Within” is inspired by stories told to her by her grandparents; stories she has since shared with her own daughter. In 2008, upon the encouragement of her daughter, she began writing the stories down. “Within” is her first book.
