Subjective well-being day: 8th of August 2010. Celebrate with AmAreWay.org the Subjective well-being day on 8th of August 2010. This is a day for sharing scientific findings and personal experiences about subjective well-being.Seattle, USA, August 4, 2010 — The Subjective well-being day is celebrated on 8th of August 2010. This is a day when to share scientific research and personal experiences about subjective well-being. That is not only a happiness day, it is also a day to focus on outreach, to bring to the attention of the general public the giant progress made by science in the field of subjective well-being, to get feedback, etc. Subjective well-being research is a major facilitator to authentic happiness, let’s commit one day to celebrate the cultivation of subjective well-being, and then keep living joyfully until the next August, 8th.
The Subjective well-being dayis organized by AmAreWay.org, which recently published the first version of its Authentic Happiness Formula eBook, and offers free daily inspirational pics, quotes, jokes, etc. This is done to support everyone who is interested in walking together a happier life, and especially people who made new year resolutions and are serious about respecting them from January until December and then ever after. Quotes are usually not be credited to any particular author, mainly for two reasons: first, what is said is more important than who said it; second, attribution of quotes are in many cases extremely uncertain. Think, for example, about Albert Einstein: everyone put on his lips any kind of quotes, seems this leading scientist and thinker must have spent his life craking quotations… And this has illustrious precedents, think about Western philosopy which is called socratic but in reality was more post-platonic, made with a mix of what Socrate said, Plato added to it and translators spuriously enhanced.
The site also offers free guided meditation courses and Authentic Happiness Formula: How to assess our subjective well-being? How to live joyfully in the 21st century? a free eBook, which helps to measure and improve happiness, offering an intuitive way to assess subjective well-being using Positive Psychology questionnaires.
