Thorough Education about Judaism, Christianity and Islam Provided in New Book

“What makes these different and why would anyone want to consider becoming a part of them?” writes Paterson about the three major religions. “All of them have truth. All have similarities. All have differences. All of them have good points and all have bad points.”
Paterson walks readers through the unique details about each faith. Each religion’s primary beliefs, holy texts, rituals, celebrations and history are outlined in an easy-to-understand, interesting way. Paterson distinguishes the differences among the three while also keenly pointing out the common threads in each. For example, Jesus is acknowledged in all three systems.
In an age when religion fuels so many of the world’s conflicts, “Three Monotheistic Faiths – Judaism, Christianity, Islam” provides a clear summation of these monotheistic faiths so people may more completely understand others’ points of view. It is a perfect guide for those who need a basic understanding of these religions, including students of comparative religions. Paterson offers a compelling look inside these three major belief systems.
“This adventure of discovery will take us through religion, through worship, through faith. It will be an exciting journey to find the truth that is in these three faiths. Understanding will grow as we see their developments, changes and adjustments in light of their belief in just one God,” the author writes.
Dr. Andrea C. Paterson earned her Doctor of Theology in International Missions degree from California State Christian University in Los Angeles when she was in her late 60s. A native of Canada’s western provinces, she ministers in senior residences and has taught bible courses. Paterson is active in her church and in an organization that works with those who perform community service. Dr. Paterson also represents her organization on the Horizon Interfaith Communication Media Council where a variety of faith groups work together with Toronto’s local community channel to produce multi-faith programs. Her passion lies in missionary work, which was sparked by a mission trip to Haiti. She has also written “The Feasts of Israel and How They Relate Within the Church,” which is soon-to-be published.
