TracFone seems to be on a roll. Consumer Reports magazine just announced that TracFone get’s the number one rating, Straight Talk get’s the number two and Net10 get’s the number five rating. Straight Talk and Net10 are also TracFone brands.

That means TracFone takes 3 of the top 5 spots. That’s incredible.

What is really interesting is that TracFone brands are rated higher than Verizon, Sprint, T-Mobile and AT&T.

TracFone scored number one at 82 percent consumer satisfaction for the prepaid category in the “Cell Phone Service Overall” scoring.

Straight Talk is number two at 78 percent.

Net10 is number five at 75 percent.

Compare that to all the majors like Verizon Wireless, Sprint Nextel, T-Mobile and AT&T Mobility who scored lower.

Is TracFone perfect? No. An example is they recycle phone numbers too quickly and new customers get lots of calls meant for the previous owner. This costs the new user time and money and TracFone should fix this because it tarnishes their brand.

But generally speaking, I agree that TracFone is a great quality and low cost service.

TracFone resells other networks like AT&T Mobility and Verizon Wireless.

Users should consider them along with other companies when considering a new carrier. They will likely cost much less although the speeds and devices for their wireless data network are not as robust.

TracFone is a subsidiary of America Movil.

Congratulations to TracFone, Straight Talk, Net10 and America Movil.
