Well that didn’t take long. Just goes to show the power of customers and the FCC threats.

Verizon Wireless just decided to pull the plug on their new $2 fee. They probably thought it was a great way to steer customers to do things one way, but it also would become an unfair profit center for the company.

This got customers all riled up and even the FCC said they were investigating. This was becoming a growing problem for Verizon.

This is the kind of problem that if it kept growing would cost Verizon customers. They would just leave. Simple as that.

Add to that the three service outages in the last few weeks and Verizon is walking around with allot of egg on their face right now.

Congratulations to the customers who are flexing their muscles and keeping companies in line. This could be the start of something great.

Have Verizon and other companies learned something from this? We’ll see.
