Coming off a highly successful Fort Lauderdale Boat Show, Nautical Ventures has been aggressively approached by several boat builders and has taken on the lines of Axopar Boats, SACS tenders, Transitions by Chapman, and Wave tenders. New models will be on display, in-water at Yachts Miami Beach, Ramp 7A Booths 1128 – 1132.

After a successful ten-year run on CBS-owned WQAM, the widely popular Weekly Fisherman Show has found a new home and a new owner, Nautical Ventures Group. NVG acquired the rights to the show after longtime hosts, Radio DJ Eric Brandon and Sun Sentinel Outdoors Writer Steve Waters, approached Nautical Ventures CEO Roger Moore with the idea. Moore, a longtime listener and sponsor of the show, saw an opportunity and quickly embraced the idea.

Maritime Professional Training is spending more than $5 million dollars expanding its Fort Lauderdale campus to train more people in the commercial maritime and yachting industries. Part of that expansion includes the recently completed small-boat deployment research, demonstration and training center in partnership with Dania Beach-based Nautical Ventures Group. MPT is leasing space at Nautical Ventures to conduct the hands-on portion of the course, designed to provide a research and demonstration facility for mariners on how to safely launch small boats such as tenders from ships or large yachts. In addition, various manufacturers will be able to assess new hook designs, survival craft, and maintenance protocols.

Nautical Ventures, South Florida's leading Hobie dealer, has announced it is sponsoring 15-year-old Allan Escuage to represent Nautical Ventures in the junior division of sanctioned kayak fishing tournaments. Escuage will represent Nautical Ventures for the first time in the Extreme Kayak Fishing Summer Slam II to be held Aug. 22, at Pompano Beach, Fla.
