The River of Music Committee has been formed to coordinate a festival celebrating the wonderful community of Singer/Songwriters and Talented Musicians from High River and the surrounding area. In conjunction with the Little Britches 2015 Parade theme “A New Beginning”, our goal is to bring our music and a festive spirit back to the town of High River. Immediately after the Saturday, May 16th Parade we will have street buskers and bands set up for performances in the downtown district that will continue throughout the afternoon. The afternoon will feature all types of music from classical, folk, jazz, rhythm & blues, bluegrass and country. We will encourage open mic for up and coming performers, the young and not so young! Spoken word and theatrical performances could also be featured. Our participating buskers and entertainers will be located throughout the downtown right after the parade and will preform until 4 pm. A map will be provided for the parade viewers, and will indicate the locations of the performers and as well businesses with special events. For performers who have not received a personal invitation please contact us to register and we will work with you regarding time and location.
