A Plant-Based Diet May Save Millions from Heart Disease with Dr. Merle Griff and Expert Dr. Caldwell B. Esselstyn Jr.

Heart disease is the #1 killer of men and women. Yet, it doesn’t have to stay that way. Listen live Thursday, July 21 at 4PM EST on Voice America as Dr. Caldwell B. Esselstyn explains how a plant-based, oil-free diet may treat and finally defeat this menacing heart-trend.

Phoenix, AZ -- (SBWIRE) -- 07/20/2016 -- After embarking on a nutritional study, Dr. Esselstyn has been advocating for making pointed nutritional changes toward a whole food diet to restore and accelerate heart health and cardiovascular healing.

In his book, Prevent and Reverse Heart Disease, Dr. Esselstyn shares how we can change our lifestyle and dietary habits and eat to save our health through nutrition therapy. He doesn't believe eradicating coronary disease is too large of a goal.

"I have an ambitious goal: to annihilate heart disease—to abolish it once and for all," said Dr. Esselstyn.

In this "Caught Between Generations" episode, Dr. Esselstyn is joined by Mary McGowan, Chief Executive Officer of WomenHeart: The National Coalition for Women with Heart Disease as she discusses myths and truths about women and heart disease.

The Caught Between Generations show is produced by Voice America and listeners can tune into live every Thursday at 4PM EST.
