ARCSI has recently announced the naming of its newly revamped online member resource library page, honoring a well-known name among business people affiliated with this international trade organization.

Dedicated in October, 2015 at the ARCSI Cleaning Convention in Las Vegas, Nevada, the resource library has been named after industry veteran and prominent supporter of the cause, Alison Palmer. Palmer is the founder of Virginia Beach, Virginia-based residential cleaning company Custom Maid, a business having recently celebrated its 30th anniversary. Though she may have started out as a frustrated budding entrepreneur, she rose through the ranks to create a name for herself and Custom Maid throughout the Virginia Beach, Norfolk and Chesapeake areas.

During her time as owner and operator of Custom Maid, Palmer advocated for the ARCSI's standards of professionalism and ethical practice, upholding these codes within her own establishment. After growth and expansion of her company gained steam, she began lending her own firsthand knowledge and experience in various aspects of entrepreneurship as well as residential cleaning to others in the industry. In recognition of her expertise and service, Palmer was elected President of the ARCSI from 2008 through 2010, returning to the designation in 2014.

The newly dubbed Alison Palmer Resource Center offers like-minded individuals advice on starting, cultivating and maintaining a residential cleaning business.
