Over 3.2 million students are the victims of bullying each year in America. 160,000 of those students skip school to avoid being bullied. These are shocking figures and now, an author wants to reduce these numbers with the launch of a new book titled, It Takes a Fool: a Tough Lesson Learned on Bullying, which goes on sale in December.

Olympia, WA -- (SBWIRE) -- 12/11/2014 -- Bullying has become a serious problem in America and around the world, and now an author wants to help reduce the problem of bullying amongst children with a new book. The Washington, DC author, Sasha Dreams, is hoping to stem the tide of bullying when her new book, It Takes a Fool: a Tough Lesson Learned on Bullying, which goes on sale in December.

It Takes A Fool is a short "creative memoir" about a 10 year old girl, named Sasha. Sasha is the darling of her fifth grade class and her best friend always has her backā€¦just like a sister. But simmering beneath the beautiful life are the dark secrets her parents harbor, secrets that slowly wind their way around the heart of the family, choking the life from Sasha. Helpless, afraid and alone, she fights the only way she can but her desperate quest for survival could lead to her own destruction.

Bullying has long been an issue in the school environment. In fact, according official figures, over 3.2 million students are bullied each year, with one in ten students dropping out of school due to the serious problem of bullying. With over 160,000 students skipping school due to the seriousness of bullying, Sasha Dreams feels more needs to be done to tackle this issue.

Unfortunately, Sasha was the perpetrator in this instance. However, she has learned some valuable lessons, which she wants to impart with bullies as well as those on the receiving end. She said, "It wasn't an easy decision but I am ready to share my experiences as a bully. It is my prayer that by sharing my story others will choose to make better choices."
