McDonough, GA -- (SBWIRE) -- 03/21/2014 -- It's time for a stable, annual, magical convention experience in the southeast U.S. There are events for science fiction, steampunk, fantasy, horror, games, comics, and anime all over the southeast, but when it comes to conventions dedicated to magic in books, television, movies, games, and the world around, there just isn't any representation. There are conventions that may touch on the subject, even those that dedicate a track to the topic, but there isn’t one show that pulls it all together into one grand show that satisfies our magical desires! CONjuration will be held October 31 – November 2, 2014 (What can be more magical than this con happening during Halloween weekend?) and it will be an enchanting experience for everyone involved.

CONjuration is the creation of Chris Seckinger and Angela Hammond, two geeks based in the Atlanta, Georgia area. They have been attendees, staff members, and vendors at a wide assortment of conventions for decades. They’ve attended and worked at fan run conventions as well as corporate conventions and are able to use the information and skills that they've acquired to bring a better all around convention experience. Chris even runs a Harry Potter themed camp at his home for a week during the summer.

Chris and Angela are creating a convention where geeks that truly love magical fandom can come together, meet others like them, and have a blast by taking part in a variety of events. They will have panel discussions, classes and crafts, wandering entertainers, exhibitor space, an artist alley, cosplay, guest speakers, a tea party, and a Samhain ball - Chris and Angela hope to have something for everyone.

The contributions received will help Chris and Angela with the hotel rental costs as well as the costs for the guests they are going to bring to CONjuration. It will also help out with all the other operational costs, decorations, and services that are required to put on a successful, fun-filled convention.

This project will only be funded if at least $6,500 is pledged by Tue, Apr 15 2014 noon Eastern time.
