Prague, Czech Republic -- (SBWIRE) -- 10/23/2014 -- Light bulbs haven't changed much in design since their invention. It's the 21st century and a Czech design team thinks it's time to change all that by inventing a way to distribute light that's not in the form of a light bulb. Using Electroluminescent Technology (a form of printed light), they have created a light emitting wall paper in the form of an easy-to-apply tile system that could be used to cover entire walls. This amazing design element was just debuted at the most prestigious design event in Prague, Czech Republic - Designblok 2014.
Lighting Wallpaper is the “must have” lighting system for anyone who has an interest in “non-traditional” interior design. Lighting Wallpaper was developed using experience from ELON Technologies with the aim to use the electroluminescent technology on commercial applications where the light is required to be absolutely flat. The printed light method secures the best lighting performance when printed in relatively smaller sizes, therefore the designers came up with a tile system. This system already exists in the form of a prototype but the final stage of development will be financed by this campaign and will be done in cooperation with specialists form ELON Technologies, who have long-term experience with this technology.
