Mrs. Wilson was given the award on behalf of her outstanding work supporting and fundraising for various community organizations. One of her achievements was her campaign competing in the Dancing with the Chattanooga Stars benefit. In 2016, Mrs. Wilson won and raised the most amount of money in the history of the competition raising an incredible $104,000 for the organization of her choice, the Partnership for Families, Children, and Adults.

She was also recognized for her work as the event chair for the Gala of Hope fundraiser, where she helped raise over $200,000 for the American Cancer Society of Chattanooga.

In addition to her work with various charities, Mrs. Wilson is also the founder of the My Fair Lady Project, a program sponsored by CFR that provides a day of support and self-care for women facing adversity.

"None of this could have been accomplished without my campaign team for DWTCS and Garry Thurman who co-chaired the Gala of Hope with me," Mrs. Wilson said of the award.
