Overland Park, KS -- (SBWIRE) -- 06/10/2016 -- The non-profit Down Syndrome Guild of Kansas City received direct support from Goody Tickets multiple times in 2015. The non-profit received ticket donations to several events from Goody Tickets co-owner Heather Goodman. Currently serving more than 30 counties in the greater Kansas City area, the Down Syndrome Guild aides more than 1,300 people with Down syndrome.

Ticket donations from Goody Tickets help fund the Down Syndrome Guild and make it possible to meet the non-profit goals of the Guild. With donations and support, the DSG aims to be responsive to the people currently in Kansas City with Down syndrome and the estimated 50 babies who are born with Down syndrome in Kansas City each year. The Down Syndrome Guild provides vital service to the area through resources and support as well as community education and Down syndrome advocacy.

The next fundraiser for the non-profit is the upcoming Kansas City Digital Ally Open tournament event with all ticket sales donated to the Down Syndrome Guild of Kansas City. The August 1-7 event which will be held at Nicklaus Golf Club at Lionsgate is the only PGA tour event in the Kansas City area. At the DSG benefit , professional golfers will be attending to secure their PGA cards and attendees will also be able to attend family night, Party on the Green, the Par-Tee club on hole 17 and other events.
