London, England -- (SBWIRE) -- 11/03/2015 -- HM Revenue and Customs recently released data which shows that August had the most amount of houses sold since February last year. The figures were the highest monthly figures in 18 months. With the interest rate on mortgages at a record low of 0.5% first time buyers are taking advantage and purchasing houses.

With 106,480 homes sold in the UK during the summer months, August is the third month in a row with over 100,000 sales, which shows a steady increase of home purchases in 2015. With David Cameron promising a "national crusade" to build more houses and more affordable homes for first time buyers with the 'Help to Buy' scheme, sales figures are expected to be high.

Recently announced in the budget was the 'Help to Buy' ISA's being launched in December, making it more affordable and beneficial for first time buyers to save a deposit, with the government adding up to 25% into the deposit when it's used for a mortgage.

Getting help with a move
