Jewish Pavilion's 5th Annual "A Walk in the Park" Honoring Seniors Scheduled for October 26

Proceeds from Charity Event to Enhance the Lives of Central Florida’s Elderly

Altamonte Springs, FL -- (SBWIRE) -- 09/19/2014 -- In today’s fast-paced world, it’s easy to overlook the importance of taking a few moments out of our day to let the most cherished people in our lives, our seniors, know how much we care about them.

Fortunately, we have caring organizations and their volunteers to step in and deliver a smile, some companionship, friendship, and words of encouragement, providing the support we aren’t able to provide often enough ourselves – though we wish we could.

On Sunday, October 26, The Jewish Pavilion, an Orlando-area organization dedicated to supporting the elderly will be holding its 5th Annual “A Walk in the Park” to raise awareness and funds to support the elderly in our community. The event is in honor of Bunny Rosen, a long-time Orlando resident.

“It’s a fun fundraiser that gets everyone in the family participating,” said Nancy Ludin, executive director of Jewish Pavilion. “We hope to exceed last year’s attendance, and raise more funds than ever. Doing so will enable us to keep providing the services that enhance the lives of our elder community.”

“A Walk in the Park” includes a free bagel breakfast, entertainment, a health fair, activities for children, and dozens of vendors.

Registrations for the Walk and donations are being accepted at https://thepavilion.webconnex.com/2014FallFestival. Proceeds enhance the lives of seniors in long term care through weekly visits, holiday celebrations, musical festivities, happy hours and other fun events.

Sponsorships and vendor locations are available. Interested parties may contact Jewish Pavilion at 407-678-9363.
