Chicago, IL -- (SBWIRE) -- 04/27/2015 -- Phil Mitchell composer/author/musician out of Chicago, he takes much of the inspiration for his work from love of the great country he lives in: America. His latest album "Crossroads" is a musical journey of America, to add to the listener's experience the band has decided to raise money for a concert and documentary film about the Phil Mitchell Band's "Crossroads" album, they believe this will enrich the music and educate people about what makes America such a great and inspiring country for Phil. For the purpose of raising the money a Kickstarter Campaign has been launched to collect at least $200,000 is by Fri, Jun 5 2015.
To get a feel of the documentary that is in the works for the project, the band suggests giving the music album a listen during a journey through the country because the album tells a story about America, it contains different types of songs inspired by topics ranging from American politics to the past and hope for the future.
On the subject of the different locations that will be a part of the future documentary, the project brief elaborates: "Glacier National Park in Montana. The author wrote a program to track grizzly bears in the park. We will visit the location where the Phil wrote some great music and also the glaciers which are dwindling in size. Another location is at a lake in Northern Minnesota among the pine trees where the author spent his summers. The city of Dubuque, Iowa is on the Mississippi River where Phil wrote his river song. Phil visits Yellowstone National Park and the film will discuss the current state of Yellowstone and global warming. The Great Plains and Oregon Trail will be another discussion along with Native Americans."
The team also plans on touring the downtown area of Chicago, talking about the beautiful and historically rich city. Interview other travelers they meet on the journey and their thoughts about the nation. The team behind the campaign encourages people to spread the word about the campaign. The team believes that the biggest challenge for the campaign would be to travel to the locations and finding a suitable venue for the planned concert.
