Kansas City, MO -- (SBWIRE) -- 07/31/2015 -- Active in seven states at both non-religious and religious universities and colleges, St. Paul's Outreach (SPO) enables young people to gain knowledge, grow their independence and pursue a career while simultaneously trying to combat the number of young people leaving the Catholic Church.

Lamar Hunt Jr. and the Loretto Foundation's contributions make it possible for this program to successfully operate around the country. Support from Lamar Hunt Jr. and other benefactors contribute to the missionaries' salaries, retreats, bible studies and various other aspects that require funding.

According to St. Paul's Outreach, close to 80% of young people leave the Catholic Church after they graduate from college. St. Paul's Outreach discovered young men and women would search for truth and purity, but couldn't find the support they were seeking. In result, St. Paul's Outreach extends support to students on campuses they serve.

St. Paul's Outreach depends on the generosity of others to be able to do their work. Lamar Hunt Jr. supports and advocates for the St. Paul's Outreach program and supports the cause to keep the campus ministry program active.
