San Mateo, CA -- (SBWIRE) -- 09/24/2014 -- Juliana Whitney, who owns the website "ThatAdoptedGirl.com", is now promoting the launch of her "adopted & adored" and "I love my adopted kid" lines of clothing on cafepress.com/thatadoptedgirl.

Juliana says that she is working on a book in which she intends to write candidly and vulnerably about adoption. The purpose of the book is to communicate with the adoptive families throughout the world and to bring a more realistic and relatable voice to adoption. Juliana further says that she has started the clothing lines to work against the stigma of adoption.

People may want to know what sets Juliana apart. It may perhaps be impossible for traditional-minded people to zone in on the specifics of her life. Juliana is an adoptee who recognizes that adoptees, including herself have issues and she is more than willing to make herself vulnerable in order to give a voice to adoptees world wide. Juliana does not talk about adoption in a clinical or academic way, but rather in a relatable and raw way, exposing what adoption looks like from the inside, as opposed to on the covers of magazines.

Juliana is a native of Nevada. She obtained two Bachelor of Arts Degrees in Sociology as well as in Communications from UNLV. She is now pursuing her MBA from the same University.

Those who know Juliana describe her as passionate, creative, ambitious, and extremely caring. Most importantly, she has an extraordinary level of empathy. They add that she is a thinker and at the same time, she is amazed and fascinated by human relationships. Juliana herself describes human relationships as “bizarre and amazing.” Perhaps, her empathy induces her friends to choose her as the go-to person for having advice for almost everything in their lives.

A peep into Juliana's life will reveal that a couple from Alfred, New York adopted her as a newborn in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Her biological parents were from Akron, OH. It was an open adoption. Juliana has been maintaining good relationships with her biological parents and other members of their family.

Juliana confesses that she is introspective by nature and so, since 10 years, she has always been seeking to achieve a deeper understanding of adoption. She also says that she is intrigued, not only by the role of adoption in her family but in the families of others as well.

Juliana herself says "Everything I do as That Adopted Girl (which is basically everything nowadays) is me living unapologetically. I do it because I love it and I believe in it. I do it without asking for permission or forgiveness: writing, art, speaking, teaching and some other projects in the works ;)... I just do what I feel like doing, I do it whole heartedly."

She says that the core messages she wants to pass on through her creations are "turn your wounds into wisdom" & "you are worthy." She urges everyone to live unapologetically, with full force and with a free spirit as long as they do not cause serious harm to others.

To summarize, Juliana seems to be a liberated person free from constraints and her new lines of clothing may be another testimony for this.
