Jo O'Mara who holds degrees in information system technology and health care management turned her attention to writing Christian fiction after retiring as director of admissions for a large retirement community. A pastor's wife, she has ministered alongside her husband in churches in Pennsylvania for over thirty-five years. The two books in this series are set in her hometown of Lawrence, Massachusetts.

She hopes her readers, from age sixteen through adult, will be encouraged in their faith that allows them to prevail. "Despite everyday struggles and trials, an even stronger family bond can arise from the ashes of conflict," O'Mara says.
