Miami, FL -- (SBWIRE) -- 10/15/2014 -- South Florida’s newest lawyer referral service, a collaboration between the North Dade Bar Association (NDBA) and Legal Services of Greater Miami, Inc. (LSGMI), is designed to “bridge the gap” for individuals who cannot be served by LSGMI.
The Low Fee Referral Service is the brainchild of NDBA President Jason Neufeld, Esq., who has been working with LSGMI to create and promote this new service. All cases referred by LSGMI will be handled on a reduced-fee or contingency basis. Participating attorneys must also agree to provide a free 30 minute consultation.
According to Mr. Neufeld, “I have always admired the quality of representation LGSMI provides some of the most disadvantaged in South Florida. I am proud that now, instead of turning away those who do not meet their income threshold, or fall within their case priorities, the North Dade Bar Association can help connect them to quality attorneys.”
Lawyers with experience handling cases involving personal injury, wills and estates, mortgage foreclosure defense, and bankruptcies may apply to participate in the referral service. Interested lawyers must be in good standing with the Florida Bar, confirm at least $100,000.00 in professional-liability insurance and submit an application along with a check for $500.00 (annual membership) to Legal Services of Greater Miami, Inc.
