Novel Television Series for Aspiring Writers "Writers2writers" to Launch in Mid-November

Princeton, NJ -- (SBWIRE) -- 11/11/2014 -- Writers2Writers, a television show on the craft of writing, debuts its 10-episode series on November 13 at 7:00 p.m. on Princeton Community Television.

A weekly television show that offers insight on writing fiction and non-fiction work, Writers2Writers http://www.writers2writers.comfeatures more than 30 popular authors and industry experts from New Jersey and the surrounding areas that share insider tips on the writing process, genre specifics and business aspects of a writing career. Hosted by Jennifer Sneed and K. Edwin Fritz, and produced by Emmy-nominated television producer and writer Nina Shelton for Crossing Barriers Productions, the educational series is taped at Princeton Community Television Station and also airs on Comcast (Channel 30) and FiOS (Channel 45) in more than a dozen townships throughout Central New Jersey.

The mission of Writers2Writers is to educate writers and those who aspire to write professionally through the personal experiences of established authors as well as editors, illustrators and others in the publishing industry. Each episode features engaging, informative interviews with several authorities – most of whom hail from New Jersey – who share how-to advice on topics ranging from outlining your novel, creating great characters, and the basics of self-publishing to overcoming writer’s block, working with an editor, and marketing your book.

“Having spent more than a decade working on educational programming, I knew this anecdotal information would make for a great television show,” said Shelton, a multiple Emmy award nominee who has developed, produced and/or written for HBO, PBS, BET, Hallmark, Disney and Ebru TV. “After interviewing 30+ writers for the show, it’s made me a better writer and I’m convinced it will do the same for our viewers. Even if they’re not interested in making a career of writing, it gives them an insider’s view of the creative process and lets them hear from some of their favorite authors.”

About Writers2Writers
Writers2Writers’ novel format emphasizes the craft of writing, rather than authors discussing their latest books as is common on other talk shows. “While we certainly mention their work, our television show gives authors a unique forum where they can help and inspire other writers,” Shelton added. “That’s powerful.”
