Arroyo Grande, CA -- (SBWIRE) -- 09/01/2015 -- Dritsas Psychological Services, a Central Valley Provider of psychotherapy and testing services is moving their main office to Arroyo Grande, from Fresno California with operations starting August 10, 2015. The Fresno office will remain open with the current team of therapists that will continue to serve the Central Valley.
"We continue our mission by helping patients located in the Central Coast who are no longer interested in using psychoactive medications move toward longer term emotional and character growth rather than simple symptom reduction" says Dr. Denise Dritsas, the practice founder and lead psychologist. "We employ and train therapists who wish to treat patients using our model which is truly a long term commitment. When I've been a guest on radio shows, I always wonder if I get a little too "excited" about our med-free and med-transitional practice but in the end, it is what we believe and do".
The therapy practice provides treatment for a range of issues such as depression, anxiety, eating disorders, and personality disorders to military transition, adolescents, and psychological testing and assessments. "We are a general practice with beliefs that human beings have the power to heal, love, grow, and accept our life experiences. Our most cherished relationships and beliefs help us navigate trying times and I like to think of this as a strength based approach."
The psychology practice intends to start recruitment for interns and licensed professionals in the area during the last quarter of the year. Plans are also being made for a weekend "mental health spa" in the spring at one of the resorts in Pismo Beach. "We are very excited to be at the Central Coast.
