For the 2012 model year, the convertible has replaced the old 4.8-liter V8 engine with a 4.4-liter V8 TwinPower Turbo engine. The 650i’s new engine goes from 0 to 60 in as little as 4.9 seconds, while producing an impressive 400 horsepower and 450 lb.-ft. of torque.
The speedy convertible is also loaded with innovative technology. The 6 Series offers an onboard navigation system with traffic alerts, Bluetooth technology, a rearview camera and voice commands. Other features available on the new convertible include HD Radio, SIRIUS Satellite Radio, an iPhone/iPad integration system, and BMW Apps, making it easy to stay connected to the outside world when driving the 650i Convertible.
BMW redesigned the styling for the 6 Series as well. The model now sits lower to the ground and has received new headlamps and taillamps, a wider grill, and features a more angular appearance, giving the model a crisper look than its predecessor.
