Following the X5’s refresh in 2011, the 2012 model has received few changes. The biggest update for this model year includes the move of several previously optional features to standard, such as the navigation system on the xDrive50i.

The X5 continues to offer the comfort and elegance consumers have come to expect from BMW. The seats adjust for a wide range of body types, and the high quality materials used in the creation of the luxury crossover shine through. Parking sensors, automatic wipers, dual-zone automatic climate control, HD Radio with a 12-speaker sound system, and adaptive xenon headlights also all come standard on the base level X5 xDrive35i.

Drivers can choose between three different engines as well. The base 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-6 produces 300 hp and 300 lb-ft of torque, the twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8 outputs 400 hp and 450 lb-ft of torque, and the 3.0-liter inline-6 produces 265 hp and 425 lb-ft of torque. The last engine also features clean diesel technology. All X5 models come standard will all-wheel drive.
