Free Arabic Course Attracts Residents this National Day at Eton Institute

The free conversation class was well received by the community, and will be followed with the free ‘Spirit of the UAE’ Cultural Workshop.

 

Dubai, UAE -- (SBWIRE) -- 12/02/2011 -- As part of Eton Institute’s 40th National Day celebrations, residents of the UAE were given the opportunity to learn Arabic for free. The students will be learning basics in the Arabic language allowing them to converse in most common situations.

The free Arabic language course has brought together people from all different backgrounds to learn the local language and gain a deeper understanding of the Arabic culture. Concentrating on the speaking and listening skills, the free Arabic conversation course is one of the many activities planned at Eton Institute to commemorate the 40th National Day.

Jess, a student in the free course remarked, “The course is a head-start for me in learning Arabic, and so far I have really enjoyed it. The teacher is very clear and interacts with us, which is always a great tool for learning.”

Based on a unique 80-20 methodology, Eton Institute’s learning programmes focus on the essential of 20% of a language which gives rise to over 80% of all conversations in practical life. With an interactive and immersive approach to learning, all courses have clearly defined goals to ensure that learners begin speaking the language in the shortest possible time.

“I am very satisfied with the standard of teaching and how the language is taught,” commented Korean Inlyun Jung, who is also currently attending the Arabic conversation course. “The teacher is very helpful and explains to us what we do not understand in an approachable way.”

Eton Institute will be continuing its celebration of the UAE’s 40th National Day, by giving away free Arabic Phrasebooks everyday till 2nd December. Furthermore, it will also host a free workshop titled ‘Spirit of the UAE’, this Wednesday, 30 November, featuring the UAE’s heritage, culture and language.
