Throughout our festive season we have had a full program of activities, recreation and entertainment for both adults and children.
On Christmas Eve, a seafood buffet and live cooking station dinner in Ocean Grill was served. Def Note, debatably Maldives best band, entertained on the evening and dinner was served ocean side and under the stars.
The signature night was certainly the Sparkles and Diamonds event on New Year’s Eve. Kurumba Maldives (http://www.kurumba.com/) was celebrating the success of 2011 and brought in 2012 in style with a Sparkles and Diamonds Party. We started the evening with sparkling wine and a lucky draw of a one carat diamond to spark off the evening. There was white, white and more white with the sparkles of diamonds. While sipping Champagne for pre dinner drinks guests were warned to mind the rock in their glass – as Kurumba brought in the stars on with one lucky guest can winning that beautiful diamond!
The Diamonds worked up the appetite so guests prepared for a sumptuous Seafood buffet with numerous live cooking stations lavishly spread throughout Ocean Grill restaurant. As refreshing as the food was, our F&B team were also stars in their delightful themed outfits – it was a white party after all!!!
The real party began before the 2012 countdown – as guests were serenaded by some surprise stars and a fashion parade before grooving into the music with the band and DJ playing favourite tunes prior to the countdown. As we left the year 2011, amazing performances of light show and fire dancers welcomed the year 2012.
