Cincinnati, OH -- (SBWIRE) -- 02/09/2012 -- March Madness is still over a month away, but three Ohio basketball coaches have already received their bracket assignments in the Infiniti Coaches’ Charity Challenge. Cincinnati’s Mick Cronin, Ohio State’s Thad Matta and Dayton’s Archie Miller are competing in the Midwest Region for the $100,000 that will be awarded to the coach with the most votes. Infiniti of Cincinnati is a fan of all three coaches and their charities.

This is the second year for the Coaches’ Challenge, which has expanded from last year’s field of 14 to 48 coaches this year. The coaches are spread out over 4 regions and the winner of each one will advance to the Final Four. Infiniti of Cincinnati is urging people to log on to espn.com/infiniti to vote for one of the three coaches who are representing Ohio teams.

Every participating coach will earn $5,000 for his cause, bringing the total amount of charitable donations to over $300,000. Both Miller and Matta are competing on behalf of the Ronald McDonald House in their respective cities. Cronin is representing Coaches vs. Cancer, a collaborative effort between the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) and the American Cancer Society.

Regional voting started on January 18 and runs through February 27. Infiniti of Cincinnati would like to remind people that they can vote every day for one of the three Ohio coaches. Final Four voting will be conducted from February 27 to March 8, with the winner being announced on March 9.

The Infiniti Coaches’ Charity Challenge represents a wonderful partnership between the NCAA, the NABC and Infiniti. Infiniti of Cincinnati encourages everyone to show their support for their favorite coach or charity by telling family members and friends to vote.
