Troy, MI -- (SBWIRE) -- 03/26/2012 -- Lincoln now has a complete software update to vastly improve the way MyLincoln Touch operates for customers. Lincoln of Troy in Michigan will be offering assistance to customers who may not be able to complete the upgrade from home.

Lincoln drivers will get an upgrade package in the mail that contains a USB loaded with updated software for the MyLincoln Touch system. Owners should be able to install MyLincoln Touch 2.0 on their own, but the local Lincoln dealership in Troy, Michigan is also on-hand to help customers. The process takes about an hour and the touch-screen will be disabled for the last 30 minutes of the download.

MyLincoln 2.0 is said to include some significant improvements. Among these improvements are faster response times to touch-screen inputs, larger and bolder fonts, a larger clock, and easier access to commonly used controls like radio presets and heated seats. Also improved, the navigation screen will have better graphics and even added 3D landmarks.

In the future, MyLincoln Touch 2.0 will be installed in upcoming 2013 model year vehicles like the 2013 Lincoln MKS and Lincoln MKT.
