Druva Named Gartner "Cool Vendor"

Companies Selected as “Cool Vendors” Are Leading the Industry with New and Innovative Solutions

Mountain View, CA -- (SBWIRE) -- 06/11/2012 -- Druva, a leader in unified enterprise solutions for endpoint backup, enterprise mobility and data loss prevention, today announced that it has been named a “Cool Vendor” in the Cool Vendors in Storage Technologies*, 2012, report by Gartner Inc. The report highlights five emerging private vendors that provide innovative storage capabilities and/or contain the costs associated with storage and storage management. The Druva inSync solution solves the problem of intrusive laptop backups, which are a major obstacle to productivity, while its new mobile-data protection capabilities make InSync the first solution to offer a single point of control across all endpoint devices, including smartphones and tablets.

The report noted that Druva solutions offer a number of unique features, particularly in the areas of security and scalability, such as the ability to support up to 10,000 users per server and up to 10 servers per installation, SAML integration two-factor authentication, and DLP capabilities. Gartner also reported that customers like Druva inSync’s manageability and mass-deployment capabilities, as well as its ability to manage CPU utilization and bandwidth.

“Being named a ‘Cool Vendor’ by Gartner is an incredible honor for our company,” said Jaspreet Singh, CEO of Druva. “This recognition of our endpoint data protection solution underscores the increasing need of enterprises to effectively manage the data backup and protection issues created by the use of mobile devices in the global workforce.”

Unique features like global data deduplication and WAN optimization accelerate protection and save up to 90 percent in bandwidth and storage. Integrated data loss prevention and analytics insure protection and availability anywhere, anytime. Core features and capabilities include enterprise-class scalability (up to 10,000 endpoints per server) and security, multi-device access, instant access to data across devices, and simplified deployment.
