Three Great Tricks for Aspiring Models, Direct from Bar Refaeli Herself

For anyone wanting to get into a career in modelling, one of the best ways to improve your chances of success is to get advice from the stars of the modelling industry.

Norwich, England -- (SBWIRE) -- 06/26/2009 -- That's according to Damian O'Connor, Managing Director of Models Direct, one of the largest modelling agencies in the UK.

“It's fairly easy to find interviews and articles about the world's leading models in the media, especially if you look online,” says O'Connor. “They're a great source of advice and tips on becoming a model and sustaining your modelling career over the long term.”

In a recent interview on the Modelinia website for example, supermodel Bar Refaeli speaks about her upcoming appearance on the cover of Esquire magazine painted with the words of a new Steven King short story called Morality. “I hadn’t seen anything like that ever,” she says about the remarkable photo shoot, “so I wanted to be the girl who did it.”

In the interview, she shares a few helpful tips on working as a model - some of the little insider tricks of the trade that really successful models use on a daily basis.

The first of her tips on modelling involves the hands. “The palm of the hand, you need to make it long - your fingers long,” she says. Next, she says that you need to point your toes and your feet in photos, so that the foot becomes part of a single line with the rest of the leg.

Refaeli's last tip is to make sure your bones and muscles are well defined in photos. “Your collarbone… how do I say it? Pop it up, pop it out. It’s all in the definition of the bones,” she says.

“Interviews with the best in the business are a great source of information for young people who are thinking of becoming a model,” says O'Connor.
