Dubai, Dubai -- (SBWIRE) -- 12/21/2009 -- Eton Institute, Dubai’s leading institute for training & development, today signed a ‘Memorandum of Understanding’ (MoU) with Dubai Center for Special Needs (D.C.S.N) to donate proceeds and raise awareness for individuals with special needs as part of their CSR initiative.

Eton Institute who recently announced the launch of Dubai’s first ‘sign language course’ will be donating part of the proceeds generated from this course to the non-profit special needs centre. The MoU also paves the way for future cooperation between the two bodies to support the underprivileged members of society.

Dr. Eli Abi Rached, Director – Eton Institute commented: “As responsible members of a business community, we have an obligation to provide for the underprivileged within and outside our social groups. Unfortunately due to the financial crisis, Corporate Social Responsibility has become a buzz word and left on the back burner with very little actually being done on ground.”

“Eton Institute” he added, “with a long and active history in giving back to the community, are proud to be able to support worthy and deserving non-profit organizations such as Dubai Center for Special Needs that have so tirelessly campaigned for this oft-ignored cause.”

Mr. Najeeb Patel, PR Coordinator at D.C.S.N quoted: “We at the D.C.S.N are delighted and privileged to be acknowledged by a reputable institution in teaching and training. The introduction of sign language classes to the public furthers our cause in helping and understanding marginalised individuals with special needs. It's a positive and integral step in integrating deaf people into the community and allowing them to be heard by a wider audience.”
