Patient Experience Specialist CRT Releases Dual-Purpose Feedback Touchscreen to Health Professionals

Research expert CRT has launched a two-in-one patient survey device, enabling the NHS to engage with patients in both static and mobile settings

 

Coventry, UK -- (SBWIRE) -- 12/12/2014 -- Research expert CRT has launched a two-in-one patient survey device, enabling the NHS to engage with patients in both static and mobile settings. The Coventry based insight specialist has partnered with Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions to offer the hybrid solution. Not only is the model new to the NHS, the health service represents a new market – via CRT - for Toshiba, whose customer base is primarily in retail.

CRT has worked with the NHS for over 12 years, providing real-time, multi-channel patient engagement solutions and services. Health professionals are mandated to capture patient opinion in order to shape services and drive improvements whilst managing expenditure wisely. The Toshiba TCxFlight features a secure docking station with simultaneously locks the touchscreen in place and charges it. By releasing a button, the tablet lifts out, enabling doctors and nurses to take it on home visits or other community settings. Simon Rowland, CRT's Chief Executive, said: "This the first touchscreen in the marketplace to replace the need for separate free standing touchscreen kiosks and mobile tablets as it does the job of both. As far as we are aware, we are the first to offer the TCxFlight to the NHS, thanks to our partnership with Toshiba."

One early adopter of the TCxFlight is the Community GP Out of House team at Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust. The trusts provides care in hospitals and in community health settings. The device is used in locations throughout north Yorkshire to measure patient experience and for capturing Friends and Family Test feedback - NHS England's measure of patient satisfaction.
