Augusta, GA -- (SBWIRE) -- 12/16/2014 -- Augusta city residents will soon have a new Walmart Neighborhood Market in their neighborhood. Bill Beazley Homes revealed last week that the new smaller market will offer grocery and pharmaceutical items. The market will also be smaller than the typical Walmart Supercenter, giving residents the intimate shopping experience they desire.

The new Neighborhood market is the second for the CSRA. The first opened in Martinez last year. In 2014, Augusta also began construction on an expansion project on Windsor Spring Road and 60 village lots were added to the neighborhood of Hayne's Station. The expansion and improvements to the city are two reasons Augusta has become a highly sought after city in the state of Georgia for families relocating.

The new 41,000 square foot Walmart Neighborhood Market will be located in Richmond County at the corner of Windsor Spring Road and Tobacco Road. Included in the development is an additional shopping center with 14,800 square feet of retail shops. Completion is expected to take place in 2016.
