Elmwood Park Zoo Announces Valentine's Day Event for Children

Norristown, PA -- (SBWIRE) -- 02/06/2015 -- With Valentine's Day approaching, parents are looking for babysitters and activities for their kids in order to enjoy the romantic holiday together. This year, to help couples take the night off, the Elmwood Park Zoo is announcing their Valentine's Kids Night at the Zoo for children ages 6 through 10. On Saturday, February 14, 2015, couples can drop the kids off at the Zoo starting at 5:30 pm. The event runs until 11 pm, though parents are permitted to pick their children up any time after 8 pm.

The event is open for registration to both members and non-members of the Zoo. Kids are treated to a healthy dinner, the chance to watch the animals in a Valentine's themed show and performance, as well as a tour of the entire zoo. For members, the cost per child is $30.95 with additional siblings receiving a $10 discount. If a non-member and looking to provide the kids with things to do in the Philadelphia area this Valentine's Day, tickets are $50.95 per child and $40.95 for any siblings that attend.

To create a memorable night, kids will partake in crafts and other games with animal and Valentine's Day related themes. As the night goes on, and parents are partaking in a romantic dinner or night out with the plethora of things to do near Philadelphia, the Elmwood Park Zoo will screen a full-length feature film for the kids to wind down.

Space to the event is limited, so those interested are encouraged to register before kids miss out on this wild night of fun and games in the presence of unique animals at the Elmwood Park Zoo.
