San Francisco, CA -- (SBWIRE) -- 04/27/2015 -- TheBestCompanys.com recently ran a survey to over 700 people to find out what the most important feature was when determining the best drug rehab facility. The answer options included: program, accredited, discharge follow up, price and on-site detox.

The recent survey for TheBestCompanys.com found the majority of people believed that program types were considered the most important feature for a rehab facility. This was the overall winner when compared to the other features: accredited, discharge follow up, price and on-site detox.

Type of program had the highest response with an overall 37% total. Programs vary between facilities in various ways. The main differences might include duration and philosophy. As the rehab facility is life-changing the type of program is extremely important when finding the best facility.

The second most popular feature with 19.5% was whether or not it was accredited. When a facility is accredited it is inspected from an outside non-biased third party. Essentially being accredited means it is an authorized facility.

Discharge follow up had an 18.7% response amount finding it to be the most important feature. This feature focuses more on life after rehab and whether or not they have follow up procedures to maintain their health.

14.3% people found price to be the most important feature. This is fairly low compared to most other industries. Price doesn't matter as much when someone's life is on the line.

The feature that received the lowest response was on-site detox at 10.5%. Meaning the majority of people found this was not as important as programs or having an accredited facility. On-site detox is the supervised process of helping a patient clean out their system.

The purpose of the survey was to help TBC know what features need to be focused on when reviewing and ranking facilities.

The conclusion of the survey shows that in the end all of the features are important when choosing the best rehab location.
