There were 3,865 UHNWIs in France in 2014, with an average per capita wealth of US$154.7 million, making them a prime target group for wealth sector professionals. Of this total, there were 39 billionaires, 598 centimillionaires and 3,228 affluent millionaires.

UHNWIs accounted for 0.7% of the total French HNWI population in 2014, in line with the global average of 0.7%. During the review period, the number of French UHNWIs increased by 6.8%, from 3,619 in 2010 to 3,865 in 2014.

There was a wide range of performance between the different UHNWI wealth bands: while the number of billionaires increased by 62.5%, the number of centimillionaires and affluent millionaires increased by 7.6% and 6.2% respectively.

The number of UHNWIs is predicted to increase by 24.6% to reach 5,027 in 2019. This will include 48 billionaires, 771 centimillionaires and 4,209 affluent millionaires.
