Garage Beacon is easy to install, and it takes no more than five minutes to get started by connecting the unit to the wall push-button terminals of the Garage Door Opener. Like other Bluetooth devices, the unit needs to be plugged in. After tapping the scan option in the app, users are required to type the attached master pin for set up. Now, users can generate or remove access for others through their app.
Randy Robert has just started a Kickstarter campaign to raise adequate funds for the creation of Garage Beacon 2.0. This project will only be funded if at least $20,000 is pledged by June 16, 2015.
