Thousands Expected to Attend the 4th Annual Mallorca International Film Festival Between November 10th-15th, 2015

Mallorca, Spain -- (SBWIRE) -- 05/15/2015 -- Thousands of filmmakers, actors, directors and other key players from the entertainment and film industry will be heading to the Spanish island of Mallorca this November. The Evolution Mallorca International Film Festival (EMIFF) will host its 4th edition from November 10th-15th, 2015. Festival coordinators are currently accepting film submissions, sponsors and partners.

Sandra Seeling Lipski founded this International Film Festival in 2011 in her hometown of Palma de Mallorca, Spain. Seeling is an award-winning actress, filmmaker and entrepreneur whose passions include acting, producing directing and helping other filmmakers to share their stories with the world. She has played significant roles in numerous films, television series and theatre productions. In 2009, she won Best Supporting Actress in the West Hollywood International Film Festival. Her current roles included lead actress in a film directed by Friederike Jehn named, The Ring Thing (a selection at the 2015 Cannes Film Festival) and supporting actress in the 2014 film The Eighth Sin by Director Steven Hadjez.

Since the first Evolution Mallorca International Film Festival in 2012, EMIFF has grown every year at a rapid and exponential pace. As the fastest growing Film Festival throughout the region, this "Mediterranean Sundance", as the press has dubbed it, has flourished to become the hippest film event for innovative and provocative international filmmakers. Seeling's Mallorca film festival is now the hub for the international independent movie scene and also vibrant place to celebrate their local filmmakers.

This year, EMIFF will screen over 50 films in 5 days. The festival also offers workshops in various categories; acting, directing and writing. "Café Con Cine" consists of casual panels where filmmakers talk about their recent and upcoming projects. For the second year in a row, the Evolutionary Island Award will be given to a filmmaker who uses the island of Mallorca as a main focus, location or additional character in his/her film or documentary. Other award categories will include, Best Feature Film, Best Short Film, Best Documentary, Best Short Documentary, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Cinematography and Best Screenplay.

Submission deadline for this year's festival is August 1, 2015 with extended deadline until September 18th. Submissions can be sent via Filmfreeway.com. A 10% Discount code is available until August 1st.
