Port Coquitlam, BC -- (SBWIRE) -- 05/18/2015 -- Hearthstone Pizza, an innovative new artisan pizza restaurant, opened its doors this past Saturday, May 2, 2015, giving free thin-crust pizza to over 300 hungry attendees.  Their opening brought a fresh, new concept of flat-rate build-your-own personal pizzas, giving customers the right to choose.

This is how their concept works.  First, customers are able to choose the size of their pizza, which can either be 9" or 11', with both options available for under ten dollars.  This is the only cost to the customer, regardless of what else they add on the pizza.  Then, they can choose between red sauce, white sauce, or olive oil (or a mixture of more than one!).  From here, the customer can choose as many toppings as he or she would like, including meats, cheeses, and vegetables.  Finally, the pizza is baked, with the option to add extra sauces after it comes fresh and crispy out of the stone oven.

Hearthstone is considered a fast-casual restaurant, providing high quality pizzas quickly for its customers.  All pizzas are baked fresh in only a few minutes once the customer chooses his or her toppings.  By allowing customers to make their own pizza creations, they are definitely not the traditional pizzeria.

Customers at the grand opening loved that they were able to customize their own personal pizza pies.  With such a wide selection of toppings available, everyone walked away happy and satisfied with their creations. No two pizzas were exactly the same.

Although the grand opening provided free personal pizzas to the first 300 customers to celebrate their new place in the neighborhood, many customers said they would return for the great quality and affordable pricing.  Each pizza is priced at $8.95 for a 11" pizza or $6.95 for a 9" pizza with unlimited toppings at no extra cost, allowing for a hearty and thrifty meal option.
